you, it is 6:00 a.m., saturday, august 6. here's some of the stories we're following on "action news." nearly four dozen people are hurt when a metal railing gives way during a concert on the camden waterfront. plus, a kensington man is receiving an outpouring of support from "action news" viewers after learning his wheelchair was stolen. it is a steam bath as we start the weekend, but storms will push the muggy air out of the area. >> reporter: whatwhat happened? we were doing so good. the humidity is back with a vengeance this morning. we have humidity in the 70s and temperatures will skyrocket this afternoon. after a nice stretch of weather,

we had three days where temperatures were in the mid 80s lots of sunshine. today is the complete opposite. with temperatures in the low 90s it will feel closer to 98 or 99. this will add to the misery. these downpours will increase the humidity later this afternoon. this is northern portions of cape may county, dennisville, woodbine tuckahoe reporting a brief, but heavy downpour racing off to the east 10 to 20 miles per hour. over the last few fraiments we - frames we have a couple of more cells developing near the i-95 corridor and around the delaware bay region. it is extremely sticky and hot. temperatures around 91. with the humidity it will feel like 96 or 97. outlying areas maybe 98. be on the look out for a scattered, heavy thunderstorm later on. by 2:00 p.m., it will feel like

96. other forecast models have this number as high as 98. when i come back we'll talk about the heavy thunderstorm potential later this afternoon. >> time 6:02. 42 people were injured, some of them still in the hospital after a scare at a concert in camden. a metal partition gave way sending them to the ground crushing one another at the bb and t pavilion. an "action news" viewer took video as the partition fell. it is clear that the -- whether something structural played a role in this. >> everyone was running towards as fans and stuff would do. everybody was running so fast, everybody was crashing into people, the railing fell and the railing over. >> they decided to rush too

much they fell over, like 15 people, blood gushing it was horrific. >> the concert was canceled 20 minutes after the incident. a driver was hurt when a car plunged off an exit ramble on the pennsylvania turnpike and crashed on to the road below. chopper 6 hd near the mid county interchange plymouth township montgomery county. the driver was flown to jefferson university hospital with non-life threatening injuries. an 18-year-old is dead after a run-in in with place in chicago. body cam video shows the moments leading up to his death. video was released yesterday. it shows officers chasing and shooting him allegedly stole a car. o'neill died of a gunshot injury to his back.

the video shows officers saying they thought o'neill fired at them, no gun was ever found. the police were their policing powers after it was determined that policy was violated. wild race for the white house, donald trump takes his campaign to the new hampshire a day after he finally threw his support behind the most powerful man in the gop. trump's opponent hillary clinton is taking the weekend off. >> reporter: the endorsement drama is over. >> in our shared mission to make america great again, i support and endorse our speaker of the house, paul ryan. >> reporter: donald trump created headlines earlier this week when he withheld his endorsement of paul ryan.

worth noting that it's been 45 days since clinton held a preference -- press conference. delaware will reinstate the death penalty. delaware's highest court made the declaration because it allowed judges too much discretion and did not require a unanimous jury decision. there's been an outpouring of support for a kensington man who needs help after getting around and someone stole his wheelchair. bob brooks has more. >> reporter: this is bill dire you can see how hard it is for him to walk around. he fell victim to a freak accident several years ago. >> i was hit by a train.

he relies on his power chair to get around. the chain was cut around 2 weeks ago. sadly someone stole his power chair. >> it was my total independence. all my independence is gone now. >> reporter: the cost? >> five thousand dollars. >> reporter: that's money he doesn't have, now he is trusting with others with money he does have to get things he needs. >> i'm nervous about giving pin numbers out and stuff like that. >> reporter: just a simple task to the corner market takes him several minutes, instead when he had his chair it was a few seconds. >> i have to do what i have to do, i can't starve to death. >> reporter: the average person likely takes walking for grant the that's not a luxury bill has. the plan is to wait for the suspect to have a change of heart. >> you wouldn't want to have this done to your grandmother.

back, we don't want it. there's the view outside. it's sticky and the clouds have moved in. at least it's dry. as we flip it over to the radars, showers and thunder is popping up in the area. on the other side of the delaware river, in new jersey, there's a shower in swedesboro and chester, as well. and east of haddonfield, all this is pushing northeast 20 miles per hour. there's heavier cells down to the south across northern portions of cape may county that will get into ocean city in the next half-hour or so. pushing into atlantic city that's the last of it right there, as it is moving over the delaware bay it is starting to fizzle out. once that pulls through it will go mainly dry into the afternoon

whole life, beyond why, maybe it's because i win too much. fbi swarm the home of the union boss john dougherty, but he said he is not worried. plus tracking stormy weather in the delaware and lehigh valleys. good morning to you, meteorologist chris sowers joins us with the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. chris no hot ones. >> reporter: that's not what i am about to say here. let's get you outside and is how the view, it's warm and sticky out there. look at the low level clouds. we're seeing the sun peak through in parts of the area. other locations are picking up decent downpours, we're zoomed into shorepoints, cape may county and atlantic county. look at the heavy rain in sea isle, strathmere and ocean city and margate and atlantic atlant. it's producing downpours north of sea isle and the garden state

parkway, and west of strathmere. it's not been raining all that long, maybe a half-hour worth of time. this is a blangd downpour, if -- blinding downpour, if you're traveling over the next 15, 20 minutes, it's out there. it should clear the coast in the next 15 minutes. it's starting to line up southeast of philadelphia, we'll call it haddonfield swedesboro and western portions of cam and gloucester county. after we get past that, late this morning hours, sun and clouds, later this afternoon, more thunderstorms are possible. the pool forecast looks like, hot and sticky, 91 him feeling like 98 or 99. if you hear thunder head indoors, lightning can strike ten miles away from where the thunderstorm itself sits. 2:00 p.m., 89. 5:00 p.m., 86.

gray. >> new from the overnight, "action news" obtained video the moment the metal railing gave way at a concert in camden. 42 people were hurt. a viewer shared the video that shows rose of people crashing several pete down on top of each other, some on concrete. we are told that snoop dogg and wiz khalifa appeared on temporary stage between the lawn street and covered seats and fans on the lawn rushed toward them. when happened the fence came down. >> they were pushing and the gate broke and i fell 6 or 7 feet. i fell on top of someone, there were four or five people on top of me, it was so hard to breathe, i thought i was dieing. >> people were pushing me, too

and suddenly people started falling off the edge. >> intense and frightening moments in camden. medics rushed in taking the injured to five different hospitals. we posted the video of the incident on our website 6abc.com. this morning, the union boss known as johnny doc is under the fbi's microscope more than a dozen locations including his home were swarmed by agents yesterday. dann cuellar has the details. >> reporter: sources say after years watching quietly behind the scene, federal agents swarmed in on powerful union boss john dougherty and some of his associates at dozens of locations. johnny doc maintains he has not done anything. >> i've been under scrutiny i don't know why. >> reporter: johnny doc stood outside his home as the fbi raided his home and that of his

sister. an army of officers carried box after box from local 98. >> i'm very comfortable with where we are at right now, once we get this ugly scenario by everything will be fine. >> reporter: the probe reached philadelphia city hall. there they raided the office of bobby heenen a long time dorkty protege who helped to get him elected. he took over the construction and trades counsel which has 40,000 members. he has made substantial contributions to a number of politics including mayor -- politicians including mayor jim kenny. he said he knows nothing about the raids. >> i don't have any other information, you could ask the question 20 different ways, i don't have any comment.

as the girl's caretaker. crews continue to conduct tests on the elevators involved in the accident at the criminal justice center. one elevator went out of control and crashed into the top of the shaft. debris fell on the second elevator, sheriff's deputy paul owens remains in critical condition this morning with a broken back. and court clerk beverlyly -- beverly smith had minor injuries. workers at the trump taj mahal in atlantic city are losing their jobs. that casino will be closing october 10. more than 1,000 workers have been on strike for more than a month. the trial begins monday for state attorney general kathleen kane. last year the montgomery county district attorney's office charged her with purjury and
